UAE-Croatia Business Club Meets with Dubai Chambers to Initiate Croatian Business Council
In a highly productive and forward-looking meeting held on April 21nd, 2025, the UAE-Croatia Business Club had the distinct honor of meeting with senior representatives of Dubai Chambers to officially begin the process of establishing the Croatian Business Council under their respected framework.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Cosmin Cristal, Mrs. Sharina AlFalasi, Mrs. Fatma AlMadani, and Mrs. Salha Althani from Dubai Chambers. Representing the UAE-Croatia Business Club was our President Mr. Neven Roginić, joined by Mr. Adel Alawadhi, an esteemed Emirati business leader and future member of the Advisory Board of the Council.
This engagement marked a significant milestone in formalizing institutional cooperation between Croatia and the United Arab Emirates and demonstrated a shared commitment to supporting economic development and bilateral trade.

1. Establishment of the Croatian Business Council under Dubai Chambers
The core purpose of the meeting was to present the vision and strategic framework of the Croatian Business Council. Mr. Roginić highlighted the Council’s key objectives:
- Supporting Croatian companies already active in the UAE
- Facilitating the entry of new companies into the UAE market
- Creating sector-specific platforms for cooperation in real estate, tourism, ICT, professional services, and trade
- Engaging institutions such as the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Consulate General of Croatia in Dubai, and the Embassy of the UAE in Berlin
2. Administrative & Procedural Steps
Dubai Chambers provided a detailed overview of the requirements for formal registration, including documentation, founding company criteria, and timelines. A dedicated point of contact was confirmed, and it was agreed that an official work plan, bylaws, and Articles of Association would follow shortly.
The UAE-Croatia Business Club expressed its willingness to complete all procedural steps in a timely manner, aiming to jointly announce the Council once formalized.
3. Joint Business Development & Networking Activities
Both parties discussed opportunities to co-organize business events, networking platforms, and trade missions. The idea of delegations between the two countries—especially involving Croatian SMEs and UAE investors—was particularly welcomed.

- Exploring the possibility of a formal inauguration event for the Croatian Business Council later this year
