President of the Republic Zoran Milanović met today with representatives of the UAE-Croatia Business Club, a non-profit business initiative established to connect the economic interests of the Republic of Croatia and the United Arab Emirates.
Neven Roginić, President of the UAE-Croatia Business Club, presented the results achieved so far, as well as the plans and activities currently underway as part of the process of establishing the Croatian Business Council in Dubai. The establishment process began in April this year within the Dubai Chambers. This initiative aims to create a permanent and institutional platform for cooperation between Croatian and Emirati companies, with the support of relevant institutions from both countries.
Roginić noted that there is clear interest in developing economic cooperation between Croatia and the UAE, a fact also confirmed by his meeting with the UAE Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, who expressed open support for Croatian companies and proposed the joint organization of an Emirati investment delegation to Croatia later this year. During the meeting, Roginić also emphasized the importance of cooperation with the Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Dubai, Jasmin Devlić, as well as the ongoing support of the UAE Ambassador to Croatia, Ahmed Alattar.
Roginić stated that support at the highest state level serves as further encouragement for continued initiatives and the building of economic bridges between the two countries.
Also attending the meeting on behalf of the UAE-Croatia Business Club was associate Ida Aleksandra Jovanović. President Milanović was accompanied by his Special Advisor for the Economy, Velibor Mačkić, and his Advisor for Foreign and European Policy, Neven Pelicarić.
