Jadranski naftovod d.d. (JANAF) is a Croatian state-owned company specializing in the transportation and storage of crude oil and petroleum products. Established in 1974, JANAF operates one of Europe’s most significant oil pipeline systems, known as the Adria oil pipeline. This extensive network spans approximately 759 kilometers, connecting the Omišalj Terminal on the island of Krk to various refineries across Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia.
The company’s infrastructure includes multiple storage terminals in Omišalj, Sisak, Virje, and Slavonski Brod, with a combined storage capacity of 2.1 million cubic meters for crude oil and 242,000 cubic meters for petroleum products. JANAF plays a crucial role in ensuring energy security for Croatia and its neighboring countries by providing a reliable and efficient means of transporting and storing oil and oil products.
